Sanquin Blood Supply Foundation, active in research and manufacturing, works on a not for profit basis, to provide blood supplies and to promote transfusion medicine. Sanquin supplies plasma derived products for patients in the Netherlands, Belgium, Finland and certain other territories. Sanquin introduced its first C1-inhibitor in 1972. The product has been further developed over the years and is marketed under brand name Cetor. Sanquin also manufactures a similar product under the brand name Cinryze on behalf of ViroPharma Incorporated.

C1-Inhibitor Concentrate - Trade Name: Cetor

Sanquin (Cetor brand of C1 inhibitor) a C1 inhibitor concentrate product that is produced at the company’s plant in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Cetor is currently registered in The Netherlands - but available on a named patient basis in a number of other countries.

Sanquin will be looking into having Cetor registered in more countries as we go along.
