Mission and Vision of HAEi

Our Mission

HAEi is established to promote co-operation, co-ordination and information sharing between HAE Specialists and National HAE Patient Associations in order to promote and facilitate the availability of effective HAE (and other angioedema due to C1 inhibitor deficiency) diagnosis and management throughout the world.

Aims and Objectives

In support of its mission HAEi will focus on:

I. The development and support of National Member Organizations (NMOs) throughout the world.
II. The dissemination of information to NMOs, enhanced communication with medical professionals, appropriate decision makers and the medical industry.
III. The promotion of international guidelines for standards of care for HAE patients throughout the world to ensure every patient has access to timely diagnosis and effective care.
IV. The maintenance of an HAEI website to serve as an educational/informative online resource for the HAE global community.
V. The organization of international workshops for interaction among the entire HAE community - medical, scientific and patients.
VI. The promotion of scientific and clinical research to facilitate the development of treatments for C1-INH deficiencies.
